AirSense 10 Software Upgrade-able
As I was reading through the AirSense 10 Clinician's Manual I noticed the following sentence:
Software upgrade
The device has a software upgrade feature. When a software upgrade is in progress, the screen will
flash for approximately 10 minutes.
Don't know if this has been discussed before, but it would appear that the new machine has the ability to Upgrade Firmware.......I don't think that was a feature available in the previous S9 Models.
I gather that software upgrades would be performed by using the SD card...........I doubt that it is an available feature of the on-board cellular communications.
Just thought I'd point this out for anyone that cares.............

Re: AirSense 10 Software Upgrade-able
My wife just finished a titration and I was really leaning toward the S10 for just that reason. But I found out that she needs a bipap and they have not released the bipap machines yet.
Oh well...
Oh well...

I am not sure about their use of terms here...TangledHose wrote:As I was reading through the AirSense 10 Clinician's Manual I noticed the following sentence:

As I understand it software is run on your computer - firmware runs the machine.

Re: AirSense 10 Software Upgrade-able
Maybe it costs too much to hire a REAL tech writer to author the manual.
I'm going to have to ask my DME how that can happen.

Could very well be or something lost in translation? I am not sure I would get too excited about it just yet esp. since it is prob not a feature for us.chunkyfrog wrote:Maybe it costs too much to hire a REAL tech writer to author the manual.
