I don't know about Encore, but SleepyHead is more accurate than ResScan for some of the summary results. ResScan seems to average 95th percentile values across nights - which is not correct.

Not knowing what your reports and numbers look like (yet), I can't comment on YOUR pressure setting. Even though a pressure of 6 can be therapy for some, for me I couldn't breathe at that pressure. I did my first year at 10 cm. and then worked up to 12 cm. and that's about right for me now.tlewis303 wrote:Den,
Dr. set pressure to a fixed number at 6cm. My OSA is mild to moderate from what I was told. I got a cpap pillow, its seems to help with the leaks.
I'll have check and post leak rate.
Do you know if Encore is more accurate software than Sleepyhead?
If you feel air-starved with that pressure, you could try increasing it to see if your overall sleep quality increases. You can always go back if it doesn't.
I suspect that Encore and Sleepyhead are similar since they display the same information. I have always used Encore software so that's what I'm familiar with. I'll be honest, I have a little trouble interpreting the reports from Sleepyhead.
In reality, all software has it's good and bad qualities.

You might want to start a thread of your own devoted to your problems staying asleep so that you can get more detailed responses and your issues won't get lost in this thread.tlewis303 wrote:Well I take lipitor but have stopped temp. take krill oil and 5htp and melatonin, aspirin, coq10. Provigil in daytime to help with sleepness, but take that sparingly.
I'm in bed 7-8 a night but I wake up 6-8x a night. Turn-over and go right back to sleep. I think I have a bad case of sleep frag. I never stay in the restorative sleep phases long enough. Years ago I would sleep with fire scanner next to as I'm a volunteer firefigher. I'm sure that wasn't good for the long term.
That way you could also post an example of your software report so we can see if anything stands out in it that might be a possible culprit.

Missed it. Sorry.Wulfman... wrote: Actually, he/she already did.......thread titled "Brain Fog wth Vision Issues", but, somehow things continued in this one.
I need to see some reports. Heck, maybe we can get lucky and something will scream out "fix me and you will feel better"
Fragmented sleep is tough to troubleshoot. I always look for the easy way out if I can.
To tlewis303...please add your comments here below to the other thread you started. Otherwise I am apt to ask the same question again.
