Help reading data - First 7 HR nights sleep

Post by chriscummings83 » Mon Aug 18, 2014 6:36 am

I forced myself to put the mask back on 3 times and got a total of 7 HR sleep. I had 32 CA events. Why do I keep forgetting to breathe

There is a question as to what causes your higher Central Sleep apnea events? Is it just something to be neglected such as pinching the air supply tube or is it real Central events. I for example who have strictly Obstructive Sleep Apnea syndrome never had such a row of Central events only, even in Sleepy Head graphs. You're using a Resmed machine. You could get a clear answer to your question if you used ResScan and got Stats results for let's say one week.

As to your question of Why do I keep forgetting to breathe ?

You don't. You probably just remove the mask from your face. I don't do it but there are nights when I stop the machine and sleep without it and without the mask of course. But I keep the chinstrap ON. It prevents me from opening my mouth wide and getting more of a DRY MOUTH than I get when I use the machine with the humidifier.

please ignore anything that avi says, pinching the hose, as he so ravingly puts it, would not show up as a central.

Well the hose is up over my head and cannot be pinched. Also I am wearing the new p10 mask and it doesn't come off or blow air out the side of mask.
The only leak that I do get is when the pressure raises fast, my mouth is forced open and I can see the leak on the leak rate.

I have no clue why I have CA or 30 a 7 hour period. How do I find out? and I see that (palerider) has a Resmed ASV Auto machine ) Did you have any problems like me?

I did go back and look at my last 5 nights and 4 out of the 5 only have CA's listed. So this isn't just one night. Usually less than 1 apnea H or AI, but always CA's

chriscummings83, whom are you asking what. You need to be specific. The other poster in this thread is on my IGNORE list. A one liner real pest.

I am taking a guess about your 32 CAs. You probably have a medical condition which involves Central Sleep Apnea syndrome, unless you reside in hi elevation location (above 4,000 feet).

Read here about this syndrome:

If you are done reading my Stats then I am going to take them out from here. I don't like to leave my images on this board b/c when I delete them in the source, which I often do, then you'll see here a flag saying "Image was moved or deleted by the owner". It will say so even if a poster decides to copy my images.
