I recently got my VPAP adapt machine, with a heated humidifier. Since I've gotten the machine roughly a week ago, it doesn't appear to be using much water. The humidty setting is at 3.0, however each morning when I wake up it seems like little to no water has been used. Does that seem normal? How much water would I expect to be used in a given night?
Thanks,
Sleepy
Question about heated humidifier
Re: Question about heated humidifier
however much is needed. the newer machines have humidity sensors in them and adjust themselves to the room humiditysleepyoc12 wrote:I recently got my VPAP adapt machine, with a heated humidifier. Anywhere from hardly any to maybe a cup over 8 hours. Depends on your incoming conditions - humid part of the country?
A possible problem otherwise might be that your plate isn't heating up - maybe check it as soon as you wake up.

Re: Question about heated humidifier
If you live in the Midwest, you likely will use very little in the late spring/summer, more in the fall/winter. This past winter my tank ran dry every night, now, I probably only use a few teaspoons of water. It depends on where you live and your weather conditions at any given time of year, also what kind of heating or if you use AC in the summer months. If you will let us know where you live geographically then other forum folks can give you an idea based on their experience.
