surgery
surgery
For what it's worth I had laser surgery for sleep apnea. They cut out my uvula (that hanging thing in your throat) and reshaped my pallet. I had my tonsils removed when I was a child so no need for that. Not only an unsuccessful procedure but very painfull recovery. About two or three weeks of what felt like a case of really bad strep throat. I know it may work for some but the big question to ask is where is the blockage ? Mine is much further back in my throat. I was told that my many years of heavy weight lifting caused my tounge to swell and even after stopping it apparently does not shrink back to normal. Weird huh ?

That's what use of oral steroids will do to you.wirefire wrote:I was told that my many years of heavy weight lifting caused my tounge to swell and even after stopping it apparently does not shrink back to normal. Weird huh ?
Liam, who only makes cracks like that to weight lifters from the comparative safety that having the entire internet between us can bring.
They can do a procedure to shrink your tounge . They basicly microwave it from the inside .Stick a long skewer in it and cook it. I ran when they got to that part. Cpap is so much easier.
Then they said one of the side effects is a beeping sound that you make at the end of a sentance.
