I've been trying out my new TAP PAP mask and have had mixed results. I started with the large pillows and had trouble with leaks. I switched to the medium pillows and this improved things a great deal. The medium pillows appear to be the same size as my medium pillows on my Airfit P10 mask, which seals very well.
The problems I am having that I am seeking advice are as follow:
1) I get a good seal with good comfort when I put the mask on to go to bed. Sometimes (this morning at 4:20 AM) I was awoken with small leaks around the pillows and the sound coming from my CPAP sounded louder.
2) The sound coming from my CPAP when I inhale is louder than my Airfit P10. Not at the mask, but at the CPAP.
I have been experimenting a lot with trying to resolve the leak issue (it's random) with no luck. I don't really understand why/how it's happening.

Re: TAP PAP Issues - Seeking Help Please
Maybe the angle of the pillows changed while you slept. I found (when I was using TapPap) I really had to get that bolt tight.

It may be that as your jaw relaxes during sleep, you are releasing the"pressure" on the mask allowing it to slide slightly out of position, causing the leak..
I have not used the TapPap but did use a similar mask several years ago.

If it's of any help, this happened last night while I was sleeping on my back.
Re: TAP PAP Issues - Seeking Help Please
Despite all the comments to the contrary I find that the smaller pillows work the best and that they do not seem to be smaller than average. That is obviously an individual observation. They do have to be angled properly and once they "click" in they are almost unnoticeable and mine don't leak. There are only two degrees of freedom on positioning and I thought it would be dead simple. But it took me a few trials and errors to get the hang of it. As for the jaw drop, the pillow position is tied tightly to the upper jaw. The lower jaw can do what it wants, and you will leak out your mouth, but the pillow position probably won't change.
