Air inflow temperature
Air inflow temperature
I tried my new CPAP machine yesterday and found that the air inflow was rather warm. It was uncomfortable and suffocating. Is there a way to make the air cooler?

What equipment are you using.
Machine brand? Machine model? If unsure the model number? Humidifier? Humidifier setting? Heated hose? If so, at what setting?
What pressure are you using? Using ramp?
Please add your equipment to your profile. It helps us if we know exactly what you are using.

Re: Air inflow temperature
You don't say which machine you are using, or if you are using a humidifier. I don't know anything about the ResMed machines, I have a PR System One 60 series.. if that is what you have, there is a knob on top of the machine, the same one you push to turn on/off. You can turn that knob to dial in a lower setting - it goes from 1-5 left to right on the dial. You can also go into the clinical menu to adjust the setting there but you might be better off to wait for someone else to chime in here and tell you how to do that as I am not that savvy yet with the technical stuff... I need all the instructions in front of me.

Using a Remstar Auto A-Flex with System One heated Humidifier. The on off button can be used as a dial from 1 to 5
Re: Air inflow temperature
Check out the video tutorial for your machine here: http://www.cpaplibrary.com/machines.html . Last video at the bottom of the page. It may not be your exact model but close enough that you'll find your way into the right menus.Pinman007 wrote:Using a Remstar Auto A-Flex with System One heated Humidifier. Library lady, I'm not sure why our equipment isn't showing, just a temporary glitch backstage of the forum I'm sure.
