Wow, CPAP on The Simpsons.

I think it's safe to say that xPAP has now made it into the mainstream. I know it's been featured on other shows here and there, but on The Simpsons? Whoa.

There's a 30-second preview clip with the article. The headgear's on upside down (or maybe it's supposed to represent a chinstrap), and the machine is obviously on the wrong side of the bed. But Homer's wearing (or trying to wear ) a nasal mask.

Veni, vidi, Velcro. I came, I saw, I stuck around.

Dx 11/07: AHI 107, central apnea, Cheyne Stokes respiration, moderate-severe O2 desats. (Simple OSA would be too easy. ;))

PR S1 ASV 950, DreamWear mask, F&P 150 humidifier, O2 @ 2L.

To someone with OSA, this saying takes on a whole new meaning:
"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."

One of the guys on Futurama and i went to school together and share a lot of mutual friends.
I havent seen him in years but we chat on FB all the time.
Hes a big fellow but even so I have seen many pictures of actor friends of his in Hollywood and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he told me they all had sleep apnea problems.......not he but the friends of his i have seen that are actors wed all be familiar with and they are all in this age group so its very likely an issue that some of them could be dealing with, hence, it makes it into the show.

But being in the biz they are i imagine its not a subject anyone would admit to publicly.
