Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum as I was officially "prediagnosed" by my doctor with Sleep Apnea a little over two weeks ago. I have suspected that I had sleep apnea for at least a year....morning headaches, tired all the time, falling asleep as soon as I got still, loud snoring and waking up gasping and coughing s few times a week. Recently, I have started having nighttime congestion; so what little sleep I was getting has now turned into no sleep. After three weeks of this awful congestion, I final got a doctor's appointment. My doctor diagnosed me with sinusitis but I am producing little or no mucus and my only other symptom is my right ear feels a little clogged. I have no history of allergies and have not had a cold for nearly ten years. So I was wondering if my nasal congestion could be due to loud snoring or my throat sealing off at night when I sleep?
My doctor gave me a prescription for Flonase but it has done nothing for my nighttime congestion. He also ordered a sleep study but it seems the earliest appointment will be in late November. I am feeling as though I need to do something soon as I am not sleeping at all. My blood pressure is spiking and I am feeling hopeless. So I was thinking that maybe I could get a CPAP on the secondary market to use until my appointment in November. Does anyone have one to sell? Any help would greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I would PM STL Mark, a trusted forum member, to get on his list so when he has ones to sell, he will contact you.

I would also check Craig's List with this caveat. Before you buy one, post on this forum about the make and model you are considering so experienced members can advise you as to whether it a good deal and a good product.
You also want to buy a product that is a data capable machine, particularly if you are going to be a do it your self-er until your appointment in November.
This review by forum member Roby Sue on the main autopaps is a good place to start:

Best of luck.

Thank you. Someone was kind enough to email me about Craigslist so my next question was going to be what kind. This information helps a lot!
