ResMed S9 Elite DATA

Post by torontoCPAPguy » Fri Jul 11, 2014 11:53 am

Can anyone tell me offhand how long the SD Ramcard when inserted into the S9 Elite (just got it) will hold and keep data? I have two S9 Auto's and they record and keep data for a single day and when put back into the machine start afresh. Does the S9 series now keep the data until the card is formatted again? Or is it business as usual and we lose the data on the following day at noon?
Thanks very much.

The Resmed S9 writes the detailed daily data and the high resolution flow rate data directly to the SD card; it writes the summary data and usage data to both the SD card and its internal memory. If the SD card is not in the machine, the detailed daily data and the high resolution flow rate data is lost, but the summary and usage data will be written to the SD card when it is reinserted into the machine.

The Resmed S9 stores the last 30 days of detailed data on the SD card. Detailed data is that is 31 days old is over written by the current night's data.

The Remed S9 stores the last 7 days of high resolution flow rate data on the SD card. High resolution data is that is 8 days old is over written by the current night' data.

To have all of your data, you need to download the data at least once a week into either ResScan or SleepyHead. And you need to remember to put the card back in the machine after downloading the data.

Also: If you use a Mac or a Windows 8.1 computer, the operating system will write files to the SD card as soon as it is inserted into the SD card reader if the card is NOT locked. The S9 will claim the card is corrupted and will ask permission to erase the card. The only way to prevent this from happening is to LOCK the card before you put it into the card reader.

The one-day data that is visible on the S9's Sleep Quality Report (on the machine's LCD) is reset at noon each day to 0.0 for everything. The data on the SD card is NOT changed at noon; the overnight data is written to the card within a few minutes of the machine being turned off. It stays on the card until it is either 8 days old (high resolution data) or 31 days old (detailed data).
