Mask Liners
How well do mask liners work? I have terrible blisters on my nose. I may be allergic to nasal masks. (WISP) Do mask liners really help? I have ordered one for a medium Wisp mask from Pad-A-Cheek. I am using band aids on my nose now to try and shield it from the silicone. I have the nasal mask on very loose. Also, will the mask liners take up more space on the mask? I am using a Medium nasal mask and it fits perfect, with not an inch to spare, after using the Large one. So I wouldn't want it to become smaller. Thank you very much

Re: Mask Liners
I seem to have the same problems you do. I have started using padacheek liners (and strap covers) for my mask Air Fit F10. The stap covers provide comfort for my neck and the back of my head. For me, the mask liner will leak, but I manage to keep the leaks below the 24 l/m limit. To me it's worth the comfort they provide. Some folks will say the padacheck liners will stop leaks, and I'm sure they do, but I have never have been able to wear the liner leak-free. As far as the blister, I place two layers of medical tape on the knot-portion of the nose with no issues. If I get a blister, I'll place a bandaid under the tape, or wear my trusty Fitlife Total mask until it heals.

I started using Rm Zzz's on my new mask the AirFit N10. It's helping to overcome leaks and a sore on the bridge of my nose. The Rm Zzz's can be used more than one time.

Re: Mask Liners
Thank you for your comments. I ordered a mask liner from Pad-A-Cheek and hopefully this will take care of the blister on my nose or at least the silicone from touching it. Anyone else have any comments on mask liners? Also on the RM zzs, do those have to be cut out?

I believe the Remzzz's have to be trimmed a bit also. I am not sure.
If you will send Becky a private message she will send you out a free sample package of the Remzzz's liners for you to see if you like them or not.
I think you have to tell her which mask though.

Re: Mask Liners
Thank you Pugsy: Are these liners for the mask itself or for the nose?

Re: Mask Liners
I couldn't control the leaks until I started using liners. I tried liners from several different makers, and the ones that work best for me are the RemZzzzs. There are still some leaks, but I am able to sleep through most of them, maybe 1 or 2% of them wake me up, in total - many nights I sleep through without a wakeup from leaks, and I am usually only aware of major leaks when I see them on the sleepyhead report .
I discovered that if I wash them I can reuse them a number of times if I lay them flat to dry and iron them to help them retain their shape and get all the wrinkles out. I put them in a mesh wash bag in cold water in the washing machine, making sure to take them out of the load before it goes to the dryer. I have used Quattro Air and AirFit F10 full face masks, and I cannot use either one of them without the RemZzzzs. The RemZzzzs do not have to be cut out, and you lay them on the mask, then put your face down onto the mask.

Now using AirFit F10 mask; Quattro Air is backup mask. RemZzzz mask liners with both.
Re: Mask Liners
I don't know anything about Remzzzs except they exist.

You can go look them up on cpap.com.
I know you have to choose a size. Some trimming may or may not be required depending on your nose I suppose.

Re: Mask Liners
Thank you Pugsy: I did ask for a sample. I have ordered the WISP nasal mask liner from Pad A Cheek, so I hope that this will help. I have terrible redness on my nose (below where I put the band-aid) and not only does it hurt, but people at work are asking me if I got sunburned this weekend. No, WISP mask burned.

Re: Mask Liners
I love mask liners! I have used both padacheek and remzzzs mask liners and I like the remzzzs better. I find I can easily use a remzzzs liner 4-5 nights. In addition to stopping leaks, they just feel so soft and wonderful on my face! Can you imagine a full-face mask feeling like that? If you've never used them I really suggest you give them a try.
