mask setting on S9

Post by SleepyCabeza » Thu Jun 12, 2014 4:38 pm

Hi all. I've been using the Tap Pap mask for the past week and love it. My AHI has been below 1 every night I've used it. But I just noticed I had the mask setting on my S9 machine on "Full Face" instead of "Pillows". Would this affect the results I've been getting through SleepyHead or how effective the treatment has been??

It would only affect your leak numbers, and not very significantly at that. The mask setting on the S9 is just for leak reporting purposes -- nasal pillow masks have a lower normal vent rate than full face masks, and the S9 takes that into account when calculating and reporting your 'unintentional' leaks. It doesn't actually affect how the machine functions at all.
