Power Switch on Sandman Auto HC

Post by Blestsleeper » Sun Jun 08, 2014 1:50 am

Am having problem with the power cord/switch on my Sandman Auto HC Auto Cpap. At first, whilst the machine was running, the power would go off for a few seconds and then the machine would reboot/start to operate again. This happened for a few nights, on and off. The machine would run for several hours and then this problem would occur. Now, it seems as if the power plug isn't going in/connecting properly and the machine won't fully boot up/start. The light on the display is dimmed and the machine doesn't fully come to operational status. Any suggestions, please?? Live in rural area and do not have easy access to qualified technicians for repairs. I am very handy/mechanically/computer minded so am able to effect most repairs to things, myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Am struggling trying to get any "quality" rest. Cheers.

Unfortunately, looking around the net for your machine, it is no longer produced.
However, the power cord is the same as the Respironics and S9 machines which use a figure 8 power cord which should be readily available at any local computer store. It's called that because of the appearance of the end of the cord that plugs into the CPAP machine.

So, you might try replacing the cord to see if the cord itself is the cause of the problem. Sometimes you can get an intermittent connection within the cord that might cause the symptoms you describe.

Failing that, have your contacted ACC Bio Services to see if they can repair your machine?
How about your original DME where you obtained it
