I checked my card this am and to my surprise my AHI was 22!!! Never been that high
Next I checked and it said I had 90 obstructive events. So I checked into that further and it said my % of spontaneous cycled events was 95%. Could that make ahi high.? My respiratory rate was fineMy E% to I% is good
My tidal volume was median 440 95th percentile 700 maximum 840??
Please explain. leaks max 10.8

Re: % spontaneous cycled breaths
Could you help me understand what you mean by spontaneously cycled events?
I thought that kind of number was related to various types of ASV or ST machines.
Having sudden increase in AHI could reflect on something causing arousals and then having many centrals that are not actually centrals. Do you have the breakdown of the components of the AHI at 22?
The total reported obstructive events is likely the total across the total sleep hours so if you slept 8 hours, for example, that would make up about 11 of the 22 AHI number leaving another 11 unaccounted for. Of course, if your night was really short (4 hours) then the obstructives account for the 22 AHI all by themselves.
When I was getting results like that, I worked backwards and discovered that consuming anything containing caffeine during the day (even in the morning) routinely doubled my AHI that night. Perhaps there is something you ate the day before that is giving you the same sort of reaction.
Just some speculation.

Re: % spontaneous cycled breaths
The S9 VPAP Auto has these particular statistical graph in its summary graphs. I have them on my S9 VPAP Auto reports from early last year.JDS74 wrote:Could you help me understand what you mean by spontaneously cycled events?

% Spontaneous triggered breaths and % Spontaneous cycled breaths
They aren't shown anywhere else that I can find in ResScan on the VPAP Auto except on the summary graphs.
So not only related to the ASV types of machines.
Interestingly..the S9 Adapt I am using shows those graphs in the summary choice as being available s but nothing shows up on those graphs like it did on the VPAP Auto summary graphs. So I have blank graphs on on the Adapt. There is no detailed graph information for these items that I can find.
I don't know the significance of the actual % numbers.

Thanks.Im going to load my info on Rescan usually use sleepyhead less complex and print those charts out if it is created and show it to my Pulmonologist next week.
