First night ASV registered 1% PB. Take a look.

Does this look like actual periodic breathing? Does it resemble anything like CSR? Normally I wouldn't be concerned with PB at this level, but ASV is supposed to deal with it very well and I've never seen 1% before.

I didn't sleep the best last night. Multiple times I remember waking up knowing I had stopped breathing, even with the mask on and no leaks.

What do you make of this waveform?

The second breath that you see right before the Hyponea flag looks sort of CSRish to me but not quite classic CSR and really even if it was the real deal...one CSR breath isn't a big deal or the end of the world.
The others don't look CSRish to me. Looks a little bit like SWJ after the Hyponea (to me anyway but at this microscopic level of looking I am not all that great at telling SWJ ..sleep/wake/junk...from just irregular breathing.)

Remember that PB is just a general waxing and waning of the breaths for at least 2 minutes (looks like you barely make the 2 minute criteria here) and not all PB is CSR. I often saw PB flagged breathing that was barely making the criteria with no events flagged with in the green flag and nothing at all looking CSRish and I was left scratching my head. CSR is just one category of PB and not the only category.

Also remember that it takes less PB to amount to 1 % when we have shorter hours of sleep than it takes when we have longer hours of sleep. If you had reported a greater number of hours of sleep the % number would have been less because of the law of numbers.

FWIW...Back when I was using my PR S1 machine I would often see more PB flagged breathing when I would have a "bad" night with frequent awakenings usually due to back pain. Sometimes the flagged breathing was obviously nothing close to CSRish but on occasion I had some that did look CSRish but the breathing around it looked like SWJ...so maybe it was flagged while I was awake. No way to know for sure as I didn't do anything to delineate the awakening (like turn the machine off and on).

Thanks Pugsy. Last night was weird as I usually only have noticeable breathing cessation while i am trying to fall asleep. Last night I had it happen from deep sleep. Last night was also the first night in MONTHS that i've had a central apnea show on my reports.

I like being informed and knowing what's going on, which my reports tell me. However, sometimes I think it would be easier if I didn't look at them. Whenever I see PB that looks like this it causes me to wonder if there is some hidden, underlying issue that will eventually show it's ugly face.
