Re: What can my machine do?
Assuming that it's the DS460TS, it's a straight cpap machine with 30 days of Auto-Trial built in.
It also has exhalation relief and as you know a heated humidification system.

Re: What can my machine do?
It's a CPAP machine...it delivers a single pressure. Normally single fixed pressure that doesn't vary.
BiPap, VPAP, those machines deliver dual pressures..bilevel pressure machines. Your machine cannot do that.
Your machine also has a short term trial of APAP mode...which means auto adjusting pressure capabilities...the machine can vary the pressure as it sees fit within whatever minimum and maximum settings chosen.
It will do this for 30 days...I think total and doesn't have to be consecutive.
I believe that there is a way to renew the 30 day APAP trial mode but it involves erasing all therapy data from the machine and I think it can only be done 5 times.
In APAP mode Flow Limitation flagging is turned on (it is off in cpap mode) and that's really the only con to having cpap mode only...and it's a very small con anyway. Not a deal breaker for sure.
The 60 series machines have the heated hose option.
If you haven't got the provider/clinical manual for this machine then I suggest that you do that so you can see what it can do.
You can request it here

Your machine is FULLY DATA CAPABLE.
It should give you excellent therapy and provide you the data to monitor it.
