Any idea why my eqpt. list dropped my machine?

Post by old dude » Tue May 06, 2014 1:58 pm

I guess the title says it all. I went in to edit my equipment (mask) and now my machine won't show up under my posts.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I don't know, but occasionally something like that will happen to me, and I usually reboot my computer to see if the problem fixed itself and if not I go in and do the signup or whatever again and that fixes the problem... maybe you should go back into your profile and if it still doesn't work try rebooting and do it again... just a suggestion...

I suspect that the link that got added to you equipment list just changed or was broken by not being there.
So, try to re-create the link to see if it reappears. If your machine is an older model, the link will no longer work as CPAP.COM removes the images from its site. Did you just get a new 760 machine? That one should be there.

Thanks JDS74, that was the problem. I did get a new machine today but since it was the same as my old one I hadn't changed my machine in the list. I did change my mask though and that must have precipitated another look at my machine, which must have indeed been old.

As I posted earlier today, the PR machine nomenclature is confusing at best, at least to me. None of my three 760s say "Remstar" on them anywhere, top or bottom, so why do they still get referred to as such?

Remstar is a term that has been used since time began on the Respironics machines and until the PR S1 machines Remstar was included on the face of pretty much all the machine models. Remstar was just Respironics marketing gimmick name.
Remstar must also be used in some sort of marketing nomenclature for the PR S1 machines because cpap.com isn't the only one that uses it. It just isn't shown on the machines anymore like it used to be.
The confusion with the names is common and that's why I usually ask for model numbers because they can't be confused.

The links point to items currently sold by cpap dot com. If they are outdated and no longer sold, the link are supported, you can manually add them in comments, but Iconny Boloney, will no longer be valid, good riddance to it. Jim
