Should I cancel my sleep study

I lowered my pressures and the results keep getting better. Should I cancel my sleep study?

When is the new titration scheduled for?
How many nights do you have like last night?

The test is tonight. I lowered down to these pressures a week ago. At first my ahi was in the high 20's it has been dropping about 4 points every night. 2 nights ago it was 6 and last night it was under 2
My sleep study tonight is with an asv machine as you know. What do you think?

Your diagnostic sleep study was 95% centrals...this was without cpap machine. So without any pressure at all you had well over 100 centrals during the sleep period (I forget just how long it was) and something like 8 obstructives over the same time period. So a truckload of centrals even without cpap pressure being added.
I don't know what is going on here. It doesn't go along with logic but then that happens often in medicine.

How did you sleep last night? Wake up often?
I suppose you could postpone and reschedule later?????
Give these new settings a longer trial maybe?

ever since I lowered my pressures. Every day I am feeling better and better. I slept very well last night. I did wake up a couple of times but went back to sleep right away. I'm afraid if I cancel my study
for tonight that if I start feeling crappy or my numbers go back up that it would take at least month to get another study, but at the same time if this bipap is working for me, I don't want to switch to
an asv machine if not needed. And start all over again. Does the asv work like a bipap, and then kick in with pressure support when centrals show up?

Why would you want to cancel your sleep study? Many take weeks to set up. I'm still waiting to hear back from my doctor who told me on April 09, 2014 that he would write me an order for a new 2 night study; once I get the word that it's been ordered and I receive a call from the lab that's going to test me I'm going because my soon to be 7 year old Philips Respironics CPAP machine is on it's last days; I need a new machine and before my insurance will agree to pay for one I have to undergo a new sleep study.

Yep..it is a bipap with a special response that is faster and more direct to help with the centrals.
ASV machines are thought of mainly for centrals but they also treat the obstructive side of things too. So they do both where as your regular bipap machine can't handle the centrals.

I don't know if last night was a fluke good night or not. I do know you also had some okay nights even with the higher pressures...granted rare but decent enough.
So why you have so many centrals some nights and not others...I don't know why.
Why did they have you on such god awful high pressures on the bipap in the first place? Beats me.

Personally...if it were me...I would keep the ASV titration study.
But that's really your choice and it can always be rescheduled later.
