Need advice for friend about new CPAP machine

Post by Islandwoman » Tue Apr 29, 2014 8:48 pm

He has used the same machine for 10 years, straight cpap. It is a Resmed oldie, and big. He travels a lot and I suggested a new Resmed S9, no humidifier needed as never used on last one. Suggestion as to best model for him please, he has Medicare + additional insurance.

If insurance is paying...I would look at the S9...or maybe a PR S1 machine.
I am not sure what the Resmed models were 10 years ago but the technology has changed so much I doubt it would make much difference..It's going to be different feeling no matter which machine is used.

As to model...what are his pressure needs?

Thanks for the reply. My husband and I are both ill and I just checked in for a bit. Will check out pressure when I can.
