Cheap Buff alternative?

Post by lliann » Sat Apr 12, 2014 7:05 am

If you don't mind looking silly or have the skill to repurpose. Those inexpensive book covers that can sell fro $1 to $3 at Walmarts, Staples or even dollar stores are made out of a similar (if not same) stretchy fabric that buffs are made from. I stuck one on my head and it covered my top and down the back to give relief from headgear damage to hair or headgear slippage. Gonna try it myself tonight. I think the cpap masks already make a fashion statement so why not?

Now I have to look for mine, which is like two shallow pockets on the ends of a short scarf (pink plaid)
I was thinking of removing the existing seams and serging it into something a bit more ergonomic.
Save my new perm.

Serious reply this time

Go and find a black hair supplies place. They have wig caps and "dew rags" I think they are called. They are a lot cheaper then Buffs.

They also have really neat hair additions. I buy supplies for my dolls making there.
