RemZzzs Padded Mask Liners work great

Post by benchie » Thu Apr 10, 2014 12:45 pm

Here is a little positive product feedback...

I'm admittedly not a good cpap user or patient. I never go to the doctor because I have a high deductible plan and I stopped working with the equipment supplier because they charged too much (like $200 to download the data from my machine). I just use cpap.com. Nonetheless I need to use the machine to breath when I sleep. My biggest frustration was leaking after about an hour of sleep due to humidity/moisture on my face. I would just take off the mask and sleep fitfully. I tried several different masks, all leaked. I really was ready to give up and just suffocate in my bed every night (I can't imagine that lack of oxygen would be good for my brain long term). With very low expectations I tried RemZzzs Padded Full Face CPAP Mask Liners and shockingly they worked great! No more leaks at all and they make the mask last longer because it's never against my skin.

Now if I could just solve the problem of the machine blowing me up like a hot air balloon and the dry throat!

I use Sleepyhead to process my data, and then I show it to my PCP.
Hard copy is nice, but last time, I brought my netbook, and let him look at the whole ball of wax.
It's amazing how much attention the doctor gives when you have show and tell.
I feel a little guilty, but I think the next couple of patients had to wait.

RemZzzs has padded liners? I use RemZzzs but I have never seen padded ones. I love them, but I do still have leaks, they just don't wake me any more. I'm glad you've found something that works for you.

Oh, I forgot to mention what got my dander up in your post.... no one should be charging you to get the information off your card; the information is mandated for them to have! Neither my DME nor the clinic charges me to get the information they need. Now, if I asked them to get the information for MY needs, maybe they would charge me... Do what Chunkyfrog said... get the information yourself from sleepyhead or whatever program you're using, print it out and give it to them when they ask you for it.

I don't check my own data, I need to do that. I'm very bad, I haven't seen the Doc for two or three years. I just turn it on, use it, keep it clean. I'll have to check into the software then make an appointment. I just need to match the software to my machine right? It's a Respronics, REMstar Auto, A-Flex.

They say padded on the invoice, but they are just an oval soft cloth, with a hole in the center. They're $25 for 30 of them, a simple yet very profitable item. I laughed when I saw they were patented!

I never noticed the word "padded" on the box... I just checked it out now. I discovered they can be used more than once if washed by hand and then ironed to help hold their shape... some people make their own out of old t-shirts
