Last night's sleepyhead info is gone!

Post by library lady » Tue Apr 08, 2014 8:06 am

Good morning all,
I don't know what to make of this. I checked the LCD on my machine, the stats are there, but when I went to check details at sleepyhead, they wouldn't import. I checked to be sure I had inserted the card, and I have not done anything different from other days. I don't know what to make of it. Is this a glitch that sometimes happens, or is there a chance I need a new card? If the card was full, would the machine tell me? I have 63 nights of use; what's a typical number of usage days before a card needs replacing?

Last night was a really off night for me; I couldn't sleep due to stress so was up and down often, but the machine records 7.5 hours of use, and an AHI of 5.5 with no leaks - maybe because of my ups and downs all night, turning the machine off whenever I got up.. I have not had an AHI of over 4 recorded for some time, and I did finally get about 3 hours of sleep. Yesterday's data is still showing with AHI of 1.8 and about the same amount of use as last night (w/o the ups and downs)

Why won't it import? Any messages? Like "no new data" or "can't find data.
You might try creating a new import location. Sometimes SleepyHead forgets where to look despite us telling it to "save this location"

No, it's not telling me it can't find data, or no new data, spinning die or anything. Where would I tell sleepyhead to go for the new destination? It's right where it always is....just do it again by clicking on "new location"?

I have a similar problem. When I fire up "SleepyHead," it will only show the first 6 days of my stats. The past two days now will not show. I check my machine and it shows up there.

You have a ResMed machine if I remember right.
Your SD card HAS to be in the machine all night for SleepyHead to be able to do anything with S9 data.
If it wasn't in your S9..that explains why no data for last 2 nights. SleepyHead needs all the files to do anything with S9 data.
It is more forgiving with the PR S1 data because the PR S1 machines store almost all the data files on the machine for a period of time...S9's don't.
Now if it was in the machine for sure then you might also try importing again and creating a new location. SleepyHead sometimes forgets where to look.

And I also have to say it because some people don't think of it...you have to tell SleepyHead to import each and every time you want to download your data. Sleepyhead won't do it if you don't tell it to...I have had some people think that opening SleepyHead was all we had to do and that SH would automatically go get the data..it can't do that.

It was in my machine. I don't leave it in my computer slot.

Then the data must be on the SD card.
If creating a new location doesn't bring up the missing data with the new import then I don't know what it might be.
More information including exact steps you do along with any messages you might be seeing would be helpful in determining the problem.

I recently had a failure to download data within 30 minutes of getting out of bed. A few days later when I downloaded again, that earlier days data showed up. Might there be a period of time the PSR1 requires being OFF before a data dump to the card?

I wrote above that I was having trouble with days missing. A bit ago I tried it again on my Resmed S9 and now the data was there. Go figure.

I had some issues with my card not updating at first, especially when I had the modem interface. I got in the habit un disconnecting the power cord connector at the machine for a few seconds. I then plugged it back in and waited while it cycled through the card check( a few more seconds). worked every time for me as long as the card is inserted.

I'll try that on my machine!

I am having the same problem. Mine says "no data", but that pertains to the graphs on the right. I get the information on the left side.
NOTE: I created a post about this problem. Since you started this thread and getting responses, I will delete mine.
