Climate feature on a Resmed S9 VPAP Auto????
Climate feature on a Resmed S9 VPAP Auto????
I have not taken delivery yet of my new machine but do have a question if anyone here knows the answer. It will be set up for "auto" in the Climate Line area. Does this mean that it is always 'ON' or can I turn it 'OFF?' Do I have control over it at all besides setting the amount of humidity I want?
Re: Climate feature on a Resmed S9 VPAP Auto????
Auto is the default setting when the Climateline hose is attached. In Auto mode you get to control the temperature and the machine maintains 80% humidity no matter what the temp..
You can also change it using the Climateline hose so that you have independent settings for both temp and humidity.
It's all easily changed by the patient via the clinical setup menu...and is the same method and choices as with any of the S9 machines..that part of things doesn't change with the VPAP.
There is a setting in the clinical menu that might prevent your changing something using the knob..but that's easily turned off if need be.
Have you watched the S9 video? If not, I think it would help you.

The basics are the same no matter which S9 model a person uses...basics include how to get to the clinical setup menu area and the various choices that are offered on all the machines.
The main difference with your VPAP will be related to the bilevel pressure settings and not the common machine features.
ClimateLine use is a feature that is common between all the various model S9 machines.
