How to use Encore Basic?

Post by tired57 » Thu Mar 27, 2014 6:15 am

OK I just had my first night with a CPAC machine. Inserted the card and card reader, how do I get in to basic so I can read data?

There's a Help section that explains how to use Basic....upper right corner of the software.
You have to create a patient first...how far have you got into using it besides opening it?

Did you attempt to read and understand the Help section where it explains how to get the download and view your data?
I can create a tutorial but everything I would put in there is in the Help section. They actually did a good job for a change and that's why I haven't had the need to do a tutorial on how to use Basic.

SleepyHead is easier to manage though.

If you are reading the Help section and it is totally not clear to you...perhaps it would be easier to do a phone consult and let me walk you through the first steps because I have no idea where you are at in the process right now.

You have to tell Basic to download from device...have you found that option yet?
It's only available from within the patient (that you created) menu...it is not available in the general page where you create patients.

Good job.

First nights are tough for most people...especially in situations like yours where you don't have any support.
I didn't sleep so great either for several weeks just getting used to having the mask on my face.
The brain kept waking me up telling me that I had an alien stuck on my face. I would feel the mask and tell my brain...it's okay...that's a friendly alien and go back to sleep only to be woke up again by the brain telling me "hey dude, did you know the alien is back" We did that multiple times a night for many, many nights until the brain came to accept the alien as normal thing to have stuck on my face.
