Many people have false indicators of what their true BP is in the doctors office due to the "white coat" syndrome (a.k.a. being nervous in the medical setting) I think taking it at home is a more true reflection of a person's pressure.
Congrats on lowering your numbers and feeling better!

Suzy, you're exactly right and my BP has always spiked whenever I was having it "officially" taken. When I was in the Air Force, some genius decided that a good time to check everyone's BP was during their annual
dental exam. Oh yeah, no chance of elevated pressure there!

Actually, that probably wouldn't have bothered me.
A year or two B.C. (Before CPAP), I was having a root canal done and was fighting to keep from dozing off.....
I could fall asleep about any time I was reclined or closed my eyes.
The DOCTOR'S office is a different story. I DO get the "white coat syndrome" there.
