Question for rested gal

Post by Snorenomore » Thu Feb 17, 2005 10:33 am

I haven't got an APAP yet, still considering.

I noticed that you mentioned you have a PB420E. How long have you had it? I assume you have the software for it. Are you getting the results you expected and was it easy to set up?

I spoke to cpap.com and they said that on the Resmed and the PB420e you have to plug in a cable into your computer to get the data out of the machine. That seems like quite a hassle to go get the machine and lug it to the computer everytime you want data (not a problem I spose if you have a laptop, but I don't) The Remstar supposedly just has a card that you take out of the machine and plug into your computer slot to read.

Anyway are you happy with your 420e and if you had it to do over again, would you still get that machine?

Actually on the remstar you pull the data card out and take it to your computer... Machine can stay where it is...

I have the 420E. It's light/small enuf to unplug and cart over to the computer. The Silverlining is more like a lead lining, in terms of their patient manual. Keep at it......I am........good luck.

The size of the 420E is great. The new htd humidifier is very compact, small, quiet, however, it does suck up more water, and has a smaller reserve tank, so by morning, I'm almost drained out. And that is using a low setting.

Guess we have to try and fiddle with whole thing.

Meanwhile while fiddling, no sleeping...............

Mikesus,
Are you sure on that? When I ran a comparison on the Resmed and REmstar (at cpap.com), only the Remstar had a "smart card".
