Picked Up Hardware today - Finally

Ok, here we go, finally got my CPAP equipment today, the DME had not gotten an "M" series yet, so they kept it for a week to play with it and train a couple of guys on it. So here is what we got

Remstar "M" series Pro with Humidifier and Smartcard
6 foot hose - standard
Comfortgel Nasal Mask
Air Pressure at 16


So tonight is the first night I will try for usage. Ramp is set for 5 to 16 over 30 minutes.

I did setup my Encore Pro Software and Card reader already with MyEncore. Tried the data from the setup today and it all worked perfect!! Thanks to the wonderful instructions here on the forum


On a side note, while talking with the tech at the DME, he did not want to give me the smartcard, as I was the first person he was aware of that had one, and was not going to come to them every two weeks to have my data read. I did not tell him I was going to read the data myself and run my own reports because he was upset enough when I let him believe that the Doctor had her own software and was going to read the data herself.


I also talked to him about the possibility of upgrading to an APAP during the 3 months of rental and he said that they don't supply APAP's because they are unnecessary equipment, and that I needed to have a new study every 90 days or so to see if I needed my pressure changed.

Since the DME and the Sleep Study are the same "company" it was not surprising to me that was their stance.

Anyway, tonight is the first night of a new life / lifestyle and I hope a better one at that.
