Procedure Friday

Post by Cr1kk1t » Wed Jan 29, 2014 8:10 pm

Hi everyone,

Due to changes to a mole that sits next to my nose, I am having it removed Friday. I will have a couple of stitches and very puffy.
I use a nasal mask and I am trying to figure out how to still use my cpap after this procedure. I really don't want to go without it but I just can not figure out a way to use it until the stitches are out and incision healed.

Any ideas??

Won't you have a small bandage on it?

Maybe switch to a nasal pillow mask until you are healed. If you mean Fri, day after tomorrow, you would have to get from local DME.

Also, relying on the bandage, as Julie suggests may work just as effectively.

Good luck, hope all goes well for you,

Jen

Update:

Procedure went well and I now have 4 stitches that will come out as early as Wednesday afternoon. It was covered with a bandage and I tried sleeping with the cpap last night but I only managed a couple of hours of restless sleep before having to take the mask off due to the pain.
Going to try again tonight as I am determined to wear the cpap.

Thank you for the suggestions.
