How to check AHI without using Smart Card.

I bought a used Phillips Respironics BIPAP autoSV Advanced which uses the SMART CARD for tracking data. I do not have a smart card. Is there a way I can check on the machine myself every morning to see my AHI? Before I used this my AHI was 33.8. I have central apnea and my machine was set with my prescription by a respiratory therapist. I have been using this for only two weeks now and feel SO GOOD!!!! I wake up in the morning and am wide awake all day! I use a Wisp nose mask which I love because it does not leak for me. I made my own apnea pillow by looking at apnea pillows on line and purchasing a memory foam pillow and cutting out the area for the mask. I made my own padding for it, so now I wake up without red marks on my face! I love my machine!!!!

Someone (else) will come along and tell you about how to view information, and what is available, on the information itself.

However, it is very inexpensive to obtain an SDCard reader or adapter for most any home or laptop computer with a USB port (and most computers have those USB ports.)

NOTE: The following are not specific recommendations that you must buy or have, just samples to give you the idea.

If you have a computer with a USB, and want to view your full results then the right adapter or reader will let you do this very inexpensively (along with perhaps the free SleepyHead software.)

Someone is here. This person has a totally different machine that uses what we call a smart card (not a SD card) and there is only one smart card reader in the world that workd with it it...and it isn't cheap.

On occasion EBay sellers have them for around $30 but I don't expect cpap.com to match EBay
Also this machine that this person is using....SleepyHead won't work on it. SleepyHead doesn't work with the Smart card machines.....older technology.

Not a daily AHI I don't think...I think either a 7 or 30 day average AHI.

You need to get the provider/clinical manual for this machine

You have to request it via email. I don't think I have that one. Instructions on requesting via email are near the bottom of the page.
In the manual should be the way to view on the LCD screen whatever data it gathers. It won't be daily data though. Respironics didn't do daily anything until they came out with the 60 series machine.

Should you ever want to get the Smart Card and card reader...I can help you with the software...Windows only though. No Mac version at all. Since the card reader is a bit pricey...send me a note and I will check around for best deal.

If you are feeling amazing....that's great and I suspect that your data when you finally see it is withing very acceptable limits.

Someone else it here .... I have the card reader you need plus about 3 cards and since I no longer use it, I will sell you mine for $20. Just PM me your info and we can deal.
