30-day mask returns in Canada?

Post by teleute » Mon Jan 27, 2014 1:03 pm

Any site I've seen that sells masks in Canada says that opened masks cannot be returned. But I keep reading about the manufacturers having a 30-day period in which to exchange. Anyone know any place in Canada that will do this?

Have you tried Vitalaire or LifeCare? How about Medi-Gas? I don't know if they're even out west, or if they'll do the 30 day thing, but it's worth a try.

But then you end up paying twice as much.

is there much of a marketplace for "gently used" masks? Sounds gross, but if it's just a night or two, and sterilized, I'm sure someone out there might swap/buy.. though you'd be at a small loss

As an interesting update, I just got an email back from cpapoutlet.ca. I was enquiring about the Sleepweaver masks in particular, and quoted the manufacturer page where it says that you should be able to return it to any internet supplier for a refund within 30 days. They actually just responded and said that the Sleepweaver mask (they may only carry the Advance, but I'm double checking that) was an exception to their no returns policy, and therefore it could be returned to them as stated by the manufacturer.

So - only one site for one mask, but it's a start.

Julie - as BlackSpinner points out, from everything I've seen those guys generally have far higher prices to start with. Medigas for sure (which we do have). I'll check the other two out just in case, though. Thanks!

Medigas is not as Cpaply oriented as the others... be interested to know how you do.

I got my original Quatro from Vitalaire almost 5 years ago and it cost me over $300.
