Respironics BiPAP AutoSV Advanced with Humidifier (Core Pack)

I have one with a couple of new in the package masks, hose, and carry case. It has virtually no use AS IN ESSENTIALLY BRAND NEW and I would like to sell .So is there anyone here who can help me out with selling this machine? The money is going to a gentleman and dear friend who needs hearing aids.
He lives on barely anything and his hearing is going very quickly. I would truly appreciate any and all help I can pass on. SO is there anyone here who can help me out with selling this machine? I am sure he will be beside himself if I am able to help him pay to hear.

What's the model number? Manufacture date? Firmware revision? Blower hours?

It is a Respironics bipap AutoSV Model REMstar Heated humidifier Model number is 1005792
when I turn it on it says 157.3 hours ramp start 7 and rise time 5...which I know can all be changed. It also has the Encore pro smartcard in the side.
not sure of manufacter date or other info you asked for though a sticker on the side says next check date 12/5/11 and I have had it for over a year.

It is as new and has a new hose and two masks and a carry case.
I really know nothing other than these things and the price I saw online for a new one is $5800
That is why I am asking for help.

It's the Legacy model ASV Advanced. Manufactured and sold until around spring of 2012.
It will take a special person who has some very specific central sleep apnea or complex sleep apnea issues to be able to use this type of machine. It isn't a run of the mill machine that just anyone will want or need maybe as a back up machine.
Yes, it used to cost $5800 but that was then and this is now and it is a discontinued model with a small market who uses it.
Contact secondwindcpap.com. They will sometimes buy these machines with low hours. They will offer wholesale prices and be prepared for that fact. Right now they are showing 12 of them available for $1025. They won't be offering thousands of dollars for it by any means.

So that gives you an idea what the market is for this machine. It's not a strong market. Most people needing ASV machines won't be wanting a discontinued machine...they want the latest technology.
It's one thing to spend $200 for a spare machine...whole other different thing to have spare $1,000 laying around for a spare machine that is old technology. Cold hard facts of life.

Thank you very much for your information...I was not expecting thousands of dollars. I merely stated what they are selling for new. In fact, I said I had no idea what it is worth. I have been using a CPAP for over 10 years and I know technology changes. Whatever I can get for this one is going to go to help a friend hear. It won't be nearly enough but it will be something to help him. THAT is my goal.

I wish you luck in your endeavor to help your friend...but how come he is not using the machine?
For him to have been prescribed this type of machine he has some pretty serious issues going on and not the kind that normally just goes away.
With low hours...and it was prescribed quite so time ago...how come he isn't using it?

It is not his machine. The person who owned it is deceased. It was given to me because their family knew I used one.
I just got a new one and was never in need of this machine. I have barely enough money to make it month to month money and when I heard my friend was going to try to sell his wheelchair to help pay for hearing aids, I thought I might be able to raise enough money to both help him hear and not lose what mobility he has with his chair.
Life can be hard and I just want to help him with what time he has left. I may have said something incorrect in another post. I apologize if I did. But
I have trouble remembering things and often make mistakes in what I try to say.
