No Data (Sleepyhead)

Post by AfibApnea » Wed Jan 22, 2014 8:55 pm

Eight days ago (Jan 13), I checked my CPAP card using Sleepyhead and noticed that—for Jan 1 – 12 (previous dates—since September 2013--were full of data) all I saw was a bouncing box with an exclamation point saying “No Data”. I visited the sleep clinic the next day to have my readings checked (I did not mention the “No Data” alert) and was given a (verbal) report. (They would not release the information they had printed out.) They did not act as if anything was amiss and I assumed the problem had been taken care of.

Now I check the card again and notice that all dates between Jan 2 and last night (Jan 21) have no data. The SleepyHead home screen/Machine Information/ First Use/Last Use dates read 9/1/2013 and 1/1/2014 respectively.

I assumed everything was copacetic, but now I don’t know that the RTs at the Sleep Clinic were even aware of the discrepancy (and therefore I suspect I was given a totally fallacious report). Obviously, a gap of ~20 days can throw all the readings off.

How can I start getting valid readings for the time between Jan 2 and last night (Jan 21) and for the future? (I.e., How do I get rid of the “No Data” bouncing icon.)

Thanks

Sorry. I've filled out the equipment to the best of my ability. (I don't know the names of the nasal mask and nasal pillows that I use, and the only software I've used is Sleepyhead.)

Try creating a new user profile along with a new import navigation and make sure you point only to the drive letter where the SD card sits. Sometimes SH gets senile and forgets where to look.
What version of SleepyHead are you using...and what is the build date (found in the help...about SH secton.

That seemed to work! Thank you.

The version of Sleepyhead I'm using is v0.9.3. Is this the latest version?

(Now I'm going to delve into your "Pointers...Tutorial", and really learn how to understand the software.)

0.9.3 Is the most current Windows version if the build date is May 2013 which it probably is if you downloaded within last couple of months.
For while Mark has an older version in the green "latest download" box and we had to scroll down the list for the May Build.
I don't remember when I mentioned this to him and he fixed it...but it probably has been 2 or 3 months at least.

Build date can be found by opening SH and going to Help in the top...then "about SleepyHead"

This is one of my pet peeves. The data is YOUR data and you are ALLOWED full access to it. Next time inform them that if they do NOT provide you with a written printout of the data, you will find another DME to provide your supplies.

I called and found out I could get the information if I went to another department and signed for a copy of the information I wanted. (It was annoying.) Turns out I probably have more information from SleepyHead than the software (printouts) they use.
