Nuance mask doesn't feel stable

Hubby just tried the Nuance mask for the first time last night (has just been on a Wisp, so this is the first time with nasal pillows). When he first put it on he was much happier with the pillows vs the mask over his nose. However, he just absolutely could not get it to seal consistently. He tried each of the pillow sizes - and the large do look to be sitting right, from all the videos etc... With the medium, there was a near constant leak, but with the large he *can* get it to seal. However, as soon as he moves the seal seems to break. He didn't feel the headgear was stable at all, since it is so minimal - he felt like it was just going to slide off at any time, regardless of how he had the straps adjusted. And since the headgear is so minimal, it seems like the weight of the hose is enough to break the seal. When he holds the hose up so there's no pressure on it whatsoever it feels perfect, but as soon as he moves into a normal sleeping position air just starts whistling out. He got frustrated enough he just slept without the machine completely for the first time since getting it. He also felt like the angle wasn't right - that they were pointing too far towards the outside of his nose, rather than up, no matter how much he adjusted it or which size he tried.

Any tips for improving these issues? I'm not physically looking at the mask right now, but it looks from pictures like potentially there's a way to secure the hose over the head - maybe that would keep things more in line? Anything else we can try?

The Nuance allows you to route the hose up over the top of your head. There is a little loop that holds the hose. If he thinks the angle is off a little you can adjust the hose in the loop and make small adjustments in the angle.

I just switched to this mask and was told to spend some time in the mirror adjusting it because it can be tricky. Once you have it where you think it is good, shake your head and see if it holds. I run my headgear a little tighter than I did with the Swift FX, but it is still comfortable.
