Machine reads 0.0 AHI

Woke this morning and checked AHI on machine, as I do every morning, and it read 0.0. Now I know I had a good night but knew that was too good to be true. Downloaded into Sleepyhead and it says 9.8. This is more inline of where I have been after just over a week on the machine. I know 9.8 is still too hight but I am just trying to get some data under my belt before I start making adjustments or call the dr. Clear aiways and hypopneas make up most of my AHI with the most being hypopneas. Why does the machine read 0.0 this morning? Hasn't been an issue since I started.

The PR S1 machines don't update the onscreen data until noon GMT.
I suspect that you checked the onscreen data prior to the update.
Check it later and I bet it will reflect the change.

As usual Pugsy's advice is brilliant. Don't forget to try reducing your CFLEX/AFLEX setting as low as you can comfortably as it is likely to reduce any hyperventilation induced central events and will probably bring your AHI below 5. Let us know how you get on.

In engineering when the defect level goes to zero when it hasn't been at zero is a reason to be concerned. In this specific case it was learning when to read the machine and everything is fine.

However, I think that a drop to zero is a good reason for you to have been concerned.

We had cases where suddenly our Statistical Control Charts for defects dropped to zero and we found the metrology equipment was broken.

Some defect charts actually have lower limits for defects on the basis that is statistically too good to be true.

In this case the root cause was in the use of the machine. But your basic idea that zero was too good to be true is a classic statistical conclusion.

The machine still reads 0.0. The threrapy hours >4 still read 0 for 1 day. The 7 day reads 7 and the 30 day reads 11 which is how many nights I have been using the machine. Guess I'll have to see what happens in the morning. I have always had a reading in the morning upon getting up so don't know why this morning would have been any different.

I am currently using 1 as a CFex+ level. I'll gather a few more data points before changing anything.

It obviously should have updated the LCD screen by now.
Since hours of use greater than 4 is also not updated...nothing got updated.
Might just be a fluke.
You might try unplugging the machine from the electric source and then plug back in....the old reboot trick....may or may not do anything but won't hurt a thing to try.

See what happens tomorrow...if it still isn't updating on the LCD screen then you may want to notify the machine supplier.

Maybe you were just lucky and had a good night. I had a 0.0 AHI on 1/17. The next day it was a bit higher but they are usually under 1.

Yah, I was kind of hoping it was a good night but history would tell me otherwise. When I donwloaded to Sleepyhead it was 9.8, more inline to where I have been running.
