AirFit P10 - New Nasal Pillows Mask

Just got an email today about a new mask coming out. Here's a link to the promo page.

With the difficulty people are having with the Nano, it will be interesting to see what happens with this one. I think further developing the nasal pillows is a good idea.

I'll post details on it when I see one and have had a few folks use it.

Single size headgear? Pilairo started out that way; now they have an adjustable headgear.

I am intruiged. These look like they may work well for me, I'm realllllly curious about how that new mesh vent thing works!

Just a quick note to post positive feedback on this new mask. I had an in-service on the mask from the ResMed rep and 5 minutes after that someone was taking it home to try. The next morning I heard a word I don't hear often at all. "Awesome" was used by the patient to describe how well it worked.

I wasn't sure about the single head strap, but it's made of a woven material that you are supposed to wash weekly for it regain it's shape. Also, the split in the back of headgear is what adjusts the tension on the pillows. The wider you set it, the less tension. Another remarkable thing was the non-directional mesh vent. Very quiet and seems to spread the exhaust air out nicely. Last thing is the weight. Though certainly lighter, when you get into masks this light it is kind of hard to tell by just holding it. You have to wear it. So far so good. Anyone using a nasal pillow style should definitely give this one a try.

I fear they will have the same headgear problem as with the original Pilario, alas.

It will be interesting to see if the vent technology makes its way to a FFM. They need a new FFM design, to update the QFX, with no forehead brace, and possibly this new mesh vent technology.
