It is not just an issue of pissing off people. In my opinion, your OT posts espouse hatred.

Kudos to any forum member who can look beyond that. I am not as big of a person as you are.

49er,

Eric is obviously getting help with his issues and I am sure any psychiatrist can see Eric for what he is, and hopefully addressing them..
This OSA is serious and lives depend on it. I have read alot of your posts in the past, and feel you are a nice enough and compassionate person. I am sure once you are
done being ticked off at Eric you would help him.

Happy Holidays and Healthy New Year!

For years, I just ran my S8 APAP with a Resmed Quattro FFM and things were great. I got a lot better during that period. After that S8 APAP died, I got replacement machines and got things back to normal. However, after the tonsillectomy of my spring, I have run into major problems.

I wouldn't want to confuse you with facts.

Yes this sleep apnea thing is indeed serious. When I cant sleep well or breathe normally, I dont feel well. Being short of breath and having chest pain will make a guy irritable. So will sleep that is not decent quality.

But as an independent person who feels totally responsible for himself it is up to you to find a solution. So stop being lazy and figure it out. I wouldn't presume to insult you by helping you and prevent you from pulling yourself up by your bootstraps. Also it would prevent the doctor and DME from making a profit from you.

There's a reason a lot of us feel we have to manage our own therapy rater than depending on the medical mafia for everything. That may be your best option as well.

I do wish you well.

It's the season of "Goodwill toward all men" (and women, I hope). So if you think the poster deserves it, wish them well! Clearly, some people on this forum say "Bah, Humbug!" about this season. I do, to some extent, so apologies for sins of the past and present! May the future be less provoking!

Please rethink that attitude. Yes, politics and CPAP therapy don't mix, but that also should mean that disagreements in the one arena ought not to be used as an excuse to not help in the other.

idamtnboy,

In my opinion, this is not about politics as I would have no qualms about helping people who feel totally differently than I do on the political spectrum. But when someone in my opinion deliberately trolls the forum with hate and venum, I have to agree with mgaggine and others who feel similarly to me.

You pay the hospital something like $2500 a year and in addition to your health insurance, they assign you to a doctor who spends way more time on your case. They switch you to a doctor who works on a maximum of around 300 patients a year. Whereas with regular insurance, you get assigned to a doctor whose patient load is more like, around 3000 patients a year. So, its kind of like old style medicine where doctors put lower limits on how many patients they would accept. And spend time on your problems more.

Ive thought about signing up for that CMC concierge medical program for a year or two to get my problems figured out. I know a lot of it is just simple weight loss, I NEED to lose a ton of weight. And I need to get off this heavy load of klonopin as well. But I have other problems as well, hypertension and the sleep apnea and depression. The depression stays under control as long as i take my antidepressant and as long as my CPAP therapy is adhered to and its CORRECT. But when my CPAP therapy is not right, in anyway, I do not get decent sleep and my mood will not be that good during the daytime no matter how much anti-depressant I take.
If you have the means to pay for it, then go for it. But please, mellow down your approach when you talk to him, and temper your strong minded attitude toward opinions and observations you don't agree with. Doctors are extremely sensitive to any comments that even hint of a combative attitude, and will turn you off quicker than the flash from a strobe light dies. Be as humble and meek as you possibly can be, even more than you can stand to be. You'll gain a lot from the relationship with that doctor then.

These are wise words, and not just docs but anyone prideful about their knowledge and experience.

I agree, it has gone far beyond a difference of opinion. The OP has been downright rude and nasty and I will not help a person who behaves like that.
