Moonshine for sleep apnea

Post by SuddenlyWornOut45 » Fri Dec 27, 2013 4:29 pm

I have been told that moonshine can get control sleep apnea, if it is made of the right stuff and of a high proof. Specifically, I was told if the moonshine is made out of oranges and not corn mash, moonshine can control apnea. A side benefit is you get to go to bed dead drunk. One of the reasons this kind of moonshine works at managing OSA is the high proof moonshine is like a tonsillectomy in a bottle and it creates a vasodilation effection on your sinuses and all your airway passages...essentially blasting your airway open during your sleep.

Anybody tried it?

Eric

You are kidding, aren't you? Alcohol is a CNS (central nervous system) depressant,
and as such will contribute to obstructive apneas by making your limp bits even limper and
will cause central apneas by ANESTHETIZING YOUR BRAIN.
Now, listen carefully, put the jug down and back away.
I may not agree with your logic, but when I croak, it's harmless--if you do, well, we don't want that!

I am assuming he (and his buddies) are intoxicated, not driving tonight, and he will survive the night without proper therapy.
I really, really hope so! I also hope the hangover is memorable! (enough to dispel these silly notions)

Be sure to wear an oximeter when you try it. I suspect your sleep apnea will get far worse. Or cured permanently. No need to ever breath again.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

It will work even better using the real rotgut made with lead pipes and the poisonous variety of alcohol. That way you won't wake up again ever and have to deal with your cpap machine.
