FitLife Total Face CPAP Mask
Has anyone tried out the FitLife Total Face CPAP Mask. I saw one at my DME yesterday. I would think it would be comfortable. Just wonder how all that air pressure would be on your eyes!
Re: FitLife Total Face CPAP Mask
Several people use this mask...the Sheriff will pop in soon......He has used it for quite a while.

I liked this mask alot because it didn't press around the nasal area. Unfortunately, in spite of trying several remedies, I never could control the massive leaks most of the time. But during the rare times that I was able to, I don't recall noticing air pressure on my eyes. And as one who found most full face masks intolerable, I felt it was definitely comfortable.
In my opinion, it is definitely worth a try if your DME has a good return policy.
Best of luck.

Re: FitLife Total Face CPAP Mask
Thanks for the feedback. I like trying out new things. I think majority of mask are good ones, it just boils down to fit and preference. I am on my second nite of using a Quattro Air and I sure like it. This is the second mask I have tried out within the 30 day tryout period. Tried the Simplus for a couple of weeks and it was real comfortable till I had to crank her down hard to stop leaks. Does anyone know if there is a limit of mask you can try out with the 30 day limit period? Is it a DME rule or the Insurance companies?

49erMost mask manufacturers have a 30 day time frame where you can return their mask and get something else and the DME fills out a bit of paperwork and they get credit for the mask that failed.
Now some DMEs make their own in house rules...and yes, they can do that...so make sure you understand what your DME's policy is. Find out what the policy is and make use of it while you can. Don't spend 3 weeks, of that 30 days, struggling night after night with a mask that just doesn't seem to want to work (assuming you have watched the fitting videos and confirmed the size is correct)...take it back and try something else.

On the Fitlife Total mask... the air enters around the mouth area, so for me, there has not been any issues with the air around the eyes. It's usually a mask of last resort. Fortunately for me, I fell in love with it and have has successful therapy with it.

OK, thanks Sheriff Buford. I think I will be getting a sleep study done in Jan or Feb. I will ask the sleep doc at my next appointment in a couple of weeks if they have them so I can try one out if I need a sleep study.Sheriff Buford wrote:On the Fitlife Total mask... the air enters around the mouth area, so for me, there has not been any issues with the air around the eyes. There have been a number of threads regarding the FitLife. Below I have listed the URLs for two threads. Both have a lot of responses, both pro and con. They should give you a pretty good understanding of the FitLife.
My review of the FitLife:

Information regarding using a Zeo with FitLife. It includes information regarding using a chin strap to stabilize the mask:

Good luck with your decision and your therapy!
