DME switcheroo advice needed
My doctor ordered a Resmed 9 VPAP Auto bilevel with climate line heated tubing for me after 3 months of APap and a titration test which showed I needed higher pressures. Yesterday, I found on my porch a Fed x package from Nationwide a PR system one Bipap Auto with heated hose, model #760 P. I have not checked the blower hours yet, but will tonight. It was a very difficult process to just get this bipap as they lost the order twice. Is the PR bipap comparable to the Resmed 9 Vpap auto bilevel or should I just ship PR back to them. On the Medicare website for Nationwide, it does state they have the Resmed 9 Vpap auto bilevel. Is the 760p a current model or have they again dumped an old model on me? Thanks, Olivia

Re: DME switcheroo advice needed
The PR S1 BiPap Auto model 760 is the latest model in this line. So they gave you a very current model.
It is pretty much the equivalent to the S9 VPAP Auto. Couple of minor differences but they are very minor and not deal breakers for sure.
It has an optional heated hose like the S9 does with its Climateline. Humidity delivery is very easy to customize.
I am currently using the 760 machine and I have used the S9 VPAP Auto in the past.
Each brand has a couple of pros and cons that the other doesn't have but to be honest I like the 760 a little better. I like the data it gathers a little more and I like the fact that the humidity delivery allows me to customize it a little more to suit my preferences plus I rather like the BiFlex exhale relief (the S9 VPAP doesn't have any at all other than the drop in pressure). Minor differences but none are deal breakers or makers.
So they didn't give you a crap machine by any means.
If you want the provider manual for it you can request it here
http://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-p ... tup-manual
just make sure to follow the instructions and request
Respironics PR System One 60 Series BiPAP Auto with Bi-Flex
SleepyHead software works well with it. If you have Windows computer get 0.9.3 version with build May 2013
If you only have a Mac let me know as you need to do something special with the Mac version.
If you have Windows and want the Respironics software...send me a private message and be sure to tell me what Windows version you are using.
EncoreGuide link this will show you examples of what you will see. For a different machine than yours but the basics are the same.

Re: DME switcheroo advice needed
Thanks Pugsy for the info. I think I will keep it as I already have a PR and somewhat familiar with the brand. I will also request a manual. I already have Sleepyhead and have a Mac so I use the patch. I hope I just have to pop the new SD card in from the bipap and it will read it like my current SD card. Olivia

Re: DME switcheroo advice needed
Should work just fine with the new SD card.
I have 6 different machines under one user profile in my SleepyHead.
If you have trouble with your Mac version and the Patch I think there's a new Mac version that includes the Patch in the unstable builds section.
I have been playing with the Windows unstable build and haven't had any problems so it's more stable than one might think.
