Sleep Doc in Western Colorado

Post by kwikwater » Wed Dec 11, 2013 10:33 am

Hi to anyone on the Western Slope of Colorado!
I'm searching for a good sleep doc in Grand Junction, preferably. I just had a highly disappointing titration study, as I didn't sleep all night. Now, a day later, it has been read and I've been asked to visit with my primary care doc. This is the Doc that totally discounted that my overnight pulse-ox showed dropping to 75% for 10-15 minute periods, 3-4 times a night. The overall average is all she looks at?? I'm scared of any recommendations or referrals that might ensue. I'd like to have a couple of names in my pocket when I meet with her Dec. 27. This board has recommended looking for pulmonologists, but I'd like to cross match that search with personal input!!

thanks to anyone in my area!! Rangely.

Dr Patz with the. Saint Mary's Sleep center is great . He has worked with me and doesn't treat me like an idiot. We spend the winter in AZ and he is okay with me making pressure changes as long as we talk about it.

I've heard he's good. I just hope he isn't accepting new patients. Rumor had it he's trying to retire. Hope not!
Thanks for the info!!

If you don't have any luck finding a sleep center out west, I've had good luck with Sleep Center of the Rockies in Fort Collins/Loveland. A bit of a haul, but just in case you need to keep that in your back pocket...
