Having fallen asleep several times at my desk I called my sleep center to ask them for the answer as to whether that was normal, they told me it could take at least a month to feel better. While on the phone I told them I have been having issues with the Quattro Air FFMS that I got from my DME on Friday.
To my amazement they told me they had a wide range of masks and to please come in for a fitting and they would send one home with me. Everyone at St. Anthony's has been more than nice right through this process and this morning was no different. They found me 5 masks to try and sent the two I liked home with me! They said try them all out then I could tell my insurance and DME which I wanted.. wow. I never would have thought of talking to the sleep center for masks!
While I was there I signed for my full sleep study results and got those. The diagnosis overall is severe obstructive sleep apnea, although they did detect PLMS I think it is.. although I did have Central Apnea episodes too. I spent a total of 55 minutes in oxygen deprivation at 82%.. OUCH!
I am curious if anyone else had this kind of service from their sleep center and also if others are as fired up as I am to raise awareness of sleep apnea?
Sleep Center so helpful!
