Pressure setting
Pressure setting
Just got a call from my PCP with the results from my titration test. I will be starting with a pressure of 8. Script heading to DME. I do not have all the other results yet. I will not see my PCP until a month from now once I have been on the machine for a bit. I'll wait until then to get a copy of my test results. Is 8 an average setting?

Re: Pressure setting
I don't know if there is a real "average" setting but a while back a forum poll was done with the members here and there was a typical bell curve with the results showing 10 being the most commonly used pressure.
So you are real close to what would have been the most commonly used pressure among forum members who took the poll.
Be glad that 8 seems to be a good starting point and not 18.
It will be much easier to adjust to. Much smaller hurricane.

Re: Pressure setting
Will your DME be giving you a machine that is "fully data capable" so you can monitor your own events, leaks, AHI, etc., on your computer? Members on the forum can tell you more about the free software that's available.
