OT : Invasion of the bugs

Post by mgaggie » Mon Dec 02, 2013 6:53 am

I have an invasion of the little black winged bugs atm. They were crawling all over my tv before, they also were crawling all over me. Then I found some beetles crawling around.

EEEEWWWWWWW!

As you can tell, I'm not fond of bugs, especially the ones that like to crawl all over me. Might be time to bug bomb the house

Btw, there is no point to this post, I'm a bit bored tonight

I'd seen a while back where beetles were swarming in some locations. Remember a few years back some little black flying bugs that came in around the window sills. Not fun. Just a suggestion until the bugs are gone - Turn your machine on for a moment before masking up just in case one got in through your mask. I do that routinely. We have earwigs show up around here now and then. During the daytime, putting your mask down in a knee high stocking could give you a degree of peace of mind about it. I'm sure google is full of remedies specific to the bugs you're dealing with. Hopefully a bug bomb won't be necessary, but if so, do remove your machine from the area. They tend to hold odors. Mine is not even close to the kitchen, but every night I smell what we cooked for dinner when I mask up. Good luck with those bugs!

Thanks kteague, especially about removing the machine if I bug bomb the house. I'd forgotten about the machine!

If it's spring or early summer down there it could be the termites are swarming. They swarm here in the spring.

Not termites thankfully (my house is made entirely of wood). We have white termites down here.

Found a dead cockroach on the floor this morning, I hate them!

A dead cockroach is a good cockroach. Only problem is, I would spend the next month looking for all his/her mates - they might not be such good cockroaches!

You are right sleepy. I'm thinking I will have to bomb the house. Just means I got to take naughty bird and cpap machine round to the parents house

Borax on all the floors will kill bugs. Dries them out. Safe for people and pets.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

They could just be flying ants.
People often just say they are termites, when most of the time they are not.

Here is how to tell the difference.
