I'm taking a class this semester and one of the topics we were to explore in the idea of gratitude.
So here goes.
I am grateful for the sponsors of this forum because they have provided me with valuable insight and information in making my transition for an untreated sleep apnea sufferor to one on his way to good treatment.
I am grateful for Pugsy, Robysue, JohnBFisher, and numerous others who have provided me with support and answers during this struggle over the last few years. Pugsy for help with the software without which I couldn't track my ups and downs. Robysue for sharing her struggles in a way that guided me to discover what I needed to know about sleep hygiene. JohnBFisher for his kind and insightful comments on the transition from my original PR System One AutoBiPap machine to my current PR System One AutoSv Advanced machine.
I am especially grateful to the Philips-Resprironics company for making those machines that keep me breathing during the times at night when I don't.
I am grateful for the myriad unnamed others who have given me kind comments and whose sharing of their struggles kept me true in the belief that I could and will make this most unnatural thing actually work.
Because I am older and my memory is not what it should be, I'm sure that I have omitted mentioning many of the posters on this forum who have helped me in too many ways to mention.
Thank you all.
Gratitude

Re: Gratitude
I could fill an entire first page in new post with the names of the forum members who have helped me over the years.
It's always good to say thank you to your benefactors and sometimes even your foes, mainly because they challenge your stated positions and assumptions, which naturally makes you think things over once again... never a bad idea in this slippery CPAP world of ups and downs.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Re: Gratitude
I am grateful that there is someone who trusts me to monitor my own therapy.
I am grateful to mask companies who keep trying to get us "covered", regardless of our different faces.
I am especially grateful to generous loving souls, often unable to sleep, who offer kindness to others in the same boat.

Re: Gratitude
I am very grateful for the folks on this forum who have helped me and others to reach sleep nirvana. It is not an easy task. Sometimes I feel when it comes to this concept of OSA, we expect it to work like our microwaves: Find a mask and machine; plug the machine into the outlet with a selected pressure setting from the sleep lab and all will be well. For the majority of us, this is not the case. We need one another to help us get over the bumps and hurdles of this disorder. There are those that can plow into their therapy and make it all work within just a few days, just like a duck takes to water. Wish it would have the case for me. In celebrating this Thanksgiving Holiday, I will give thanks for for my CPAP and those who have help me along the way. Indeed.

I'm also grateful for internet forums -- without them, I would still be suffering from several "mysterious conditions" that no one but myself was able to diagnose. (I am not grateful for stupid doctors, but I am grateful for the ones that do have a clue )
