Suggestions please

Post by flyingwithoutwings » Mon Nov 18, 2013 11:54 am

I have always been a side sleeper (would wake up exactly the way I fell asleep), but now I keep waking up on my back. Any suggestions on keeping myself from rolling to my back without taking too much bed room from hubby?

Google back wedge - you can buy foam triangles, body length.

If all else fails, try wearing a 'fanny pack' with 2 tennis balls in it. Wear the pack in the back. Sleeping on your back is not terrible, but you may need a slightly higher pressure than if you were on your side.

I don't do those things, but I do use a side sleeper pro pillow to help me - I have found it is much better than the so-called apnea pillows because it has real height to it.

Sometimes I wake on my back. Cpap can handle my apneas in any position;
and staying in the same position all night makes me sore.

Thank you for the suggestion. I ordered the side sleeper pro and should have it Wednesday.

Side Sleeper Pro is not for me. It is too hard.....took me over an hour to fall asleep and then I have to wake up to flip the pillow over if I want to turn on my other side. It's going back.

I guess I shouldn't get to wildly upset about waking up on my back. AHI has gone from 34 to 3.37.
