Need help choosing new machine

Post by Olivia » Mon Nov 18, 2013 8:35 pm

I just got my new sleep study in the mail that states I now need "Auto BiLevel" with IPAP max 20 EPAP min 14, PS of 4 cm water pressure. No mention of humidifier or heated tube! Please recommend a machine that would be fully data capable and would be the best fit for me. I would like to also continue using SleepyHead. Thanks, Olivia

This is what I use now...PR S1 60 series BiPap Auto.

The ResMed equivalent is the S9 VPAP Auto.

I have owned and use both. It's a toss up as to which is "best". Is insurance buying it or are you buying it out of pocket?

Both are full data and Both work well with SleepyHead. Get the heated hose option if you can. It may not be needed all the time but when it is needed it's worth its weight in gold.

so far i had a PR system one apap, a pr system one apap/bipap, a pr system one ASV with auto epap and ipap and a Resmed Bilevel - not automatic, a resmed asv enhanced based on the S8 and my current Resmed S9 ASV with auto EPAP

I liked every one of the Resmed units better than any of the Respironics units - but this may be just unit to whatever problem i have which although successfully treated has not really been diagnosed
