S9 max leak report . . .

Post by hobbs » Sun Oct 20, 2013 10:25 am

I am using auto on/off with my new S9 AutoSet and the ResScan report shows the leak rate as 0.0 8.6 & 164. I assume the 164 is when the mask is removed and it runs a short time before auto off kicks in. My old S8 AutoSet II never reported a max leak rate like this. Is there some way to correct this?

To my knowledge the only way to stop ResScan or SleepyHead form recording that max leak when mask is removed prior to auto shut off is to manually shut the machine off prior to removing the mask. Extremely brief mask refitting big leaks seem to get ignored but the seconds needed for the machine to sense no breathing and then shut off automatically is too long to be ignored.

I can take my mask off & then turn off the machine w/o high leak, but the time span is short.

Well I guess that is the one thing the S8 was better at!
