Hello guys!
I am a newbie here so please forgive me if I break any forum rules.
A couple of years ago my wife started complaining about me snoring.
I went to an Ear and Throat doctor and he prescribed a sleep apnea study.
A company came to my home and hooked me up to a bunch of wires and next day came back to collect the data.
They told me that I stopped breathing 40 times during a 4 hour period.
My doctor prescribed me a Resmed S9 Automatic and I've been using for a little over a year.
They told me that my pressure should be aroun 11 but I shouldn't worry because the Resmed was automatic.
I don't believe that I'm getting true rem sleep because I never wake up felling rested and my body is not reflecting good sleep.
Usualyy I get 5 hours of sleep with the mask and a couple without the mask.
I have my SD card with the data and I want to know what does the data show.
Can anyone help please!
Thank you!
Can anyone take a look at my data?

Read this

It covers which software to get, how to install it and where to get it (links in the thread) as well as some explanation as to what you are seeing and how to post images of your reports so we can see what you are seeing.
Without seeing your reports we don't have a clue what might be going on but leaks need to be evaluated and if you are using auto adjusting mode maybe the pressure is simply too low starting out and it can't get to where it needs to be to do the best job.
Need to see reports to know for sure.

Welcome galoset. Register fully, including the specific models of the equipment you're using. Download SleepyHead software at http://sourceforge.net/projects/sleepyhead/ so you can see yourself statistically and graphically how you're doing. Do your homework by looking up terms in a glossary such as http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/s ... e=Glossary
If you want anybody here to look at your stats numbers and graphs, take a screenshot or a picture, crop it as you would like it to appear, and then go to photobucket.com Click on the Library there, create a new album and give it a name. Upload your images taken earlier to your new album at Photobucket.com, click on and copy the IMG URL at the bottom of the image(s) and paste it/them into "Post Reply" in this (your) topic, "Can anyone take a look at my data?".
Congrats on deciding that it's very much in your interest to find out what's going on. You'll also be far better grounded in your ability to list beforehand and ask your doc for specific answers. Caution, don't let him blow you off. There are a few docs out there who seem to operate their practice in a fast production-line way. Good luck to you. Also be sure to follow Pugsy's instructions to the letter. She knows.

Re: Can anyone take a look at my data?
The fact that you are sleeping a couple of hours without the mask every night is enough to explain any continuation of symptoms of OSA, including the fact that you report:galosat wrote:Usualyy I get 5 hours of sleep with the mask and a couple without the mask. (emphasis added)
While you are compliant by insurance standards, CPAP is designed to be a full-time thing: When you are asleep, you should have the mask on your nose.I never wake up felling rested and my body is not reflecting good sleep.
To draw an analogy: Sleeping 5 hours with the mask on and 2 hours without it on is like an insulin-dependent diabetic not taking an appropriate dose of insulin 2 out of every 7 meals. Or a person with high blood pressure taking their medication only 5 out of every 7 days. Sure, it's better than nothing, but it's not enough to reap the full benefit of the prescribed therapy.
