Can't stay logged in, and can't change my profile...

Post by Barb (Seattle) » Thu Jun 15, 2006 12:49 am

what is going on? I have to repeatedly log in. I have cookies enabled, and I click the little box every time for it to "remember me"

this is annoying

Oh, I tried to change my profile too, and it won't change. I need to also change my e-mail because I have a new one. Thanks:)

You're not alone

Barb,

I'm having similar problems and, in addition, can't seem to send responses to some of the private messages I've received. I just assumed it was my computer getting back at me for being such a neo-Luddite, but apparently that's not the case.

If you receive any words of wisdom, please pass them along.

Thanks and good luck,

Kurtchan

Something to try, it works for me on one of my two computers.

First: Delete all cookies. I use Window Washer, and it allows me to save selected cookies. (From my forum sites)

Two: After the Wash, I log-in, name and password and don't check remember me, Then I close Explorer (IE), I go into Window Washer, and add the cookies into Cookie Keeper from the forum. Then I log-in again and this time click the remember me box. Then go to Window Washer can make sure all forum cookies are saved,

I know this is a pain, but it works, on one machine for me and it lasts for a couple of weeks before I have to play the game again.

This is the only forum software I've ran into that can't keep it's Cookies Down. Pun Intended! Jim
