I went in to have my data downloaded yesterday. Bad news...23 was the apnea index, when it was 11 in February. She set it on auto to see what's going on. While I was there (she was THE most helpful DME person I've had yet, I was impressed) she was talking about other masks, and why I was using an ace bandage for mouth breathing...why wasn't I using a full-face mask, etc. So she showed me some masks. THE FIRST time someone has done this in the 9 years I've been being treated. She fitted me with the "small" cushion instead of the "medium". It seemed to work pretty good last night, but my numbers were still not good. I don't get it. The machine says it was 12.4 pressure, but I still had quite a few apneas. It's pretty comfortable though....
Trying the ComfortFull2
But maybe you are still mouth breathing, and therefore, not stopping the apneas. Maybe?
What machine do you have?
What machine do you have?

Resmed AutoSet spirit, but the ComfortFull is a full face mask...that's why I'm puzzled. Why isn't the machine putting the pressure up high enough to prevent the apneas? The DME will be calling in a couple days, so I'll ask her that question definitely.Linda3032 wrote:But maybe you are still mouth breathing, and therefore, not stopping the apneas. Maybe?

And I'm sorry, I read it as ComfortLite 2 instead of Comfortfull 2. My bad.
